Objectives and scope

French Language and Literature Reasearch was founded by the Department of French Language and Literature at the University of Tabriz to disseminate the research work carried out within this department, but also to allow it to enter into dialogue with colleagues in other universities, Iranian and international. Our department, located at the Faculty of Letters which brings together many sectors ranging from studies on classical languages and philosophy to Persian literature through French, English and Azerbaijani literature, always keeps its contact with other disciplines in Social science. Thus, French Language and Literature Research covered from the outset the field of general literature and wanted to be open to interdisciplinarity, promoting the publication of innovative texts on literary, linguistic, didactic studies, studies. translation, but also painting, cinema and other artistic fields in their relation to literature. A brief look at the historical evolution of the journal reflects the concern of the core of researchers who are trying to tackle issues with more theoretical, stylistic and critical issues.

The other policy of the journal which has favored the publication of the original issues is that it has tried to accommodate manuscripts from confirmed academics but also from young professors or student researchers.

In 2016, the journal launched public calls on major literature platforms - such as Fabula or Calenda - and since then many articles have reached us from different countries including France, Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Algeria etc. This peer-reviewed scientific journal is funded by the Vice-President of the University of Tabriz in charge of research and is currently directed by Dr. Allahshokr Assadollahi, Professor in the Department of French Language and Literature at the University of Tabriz.
